Bathurst after Hopper : sold to private collection.

While exploring central NSW as I returned to my birthplace for the first time I was struck by the rural iconography so reminiscent of Edward Hopper’s work that also referenced physical and historical Australian narratives against a big sky background.

This work references the Boer War monument in the centre of Bathurst .
