“Imposter Syndrome ” is a little self portrait I’ve been working on as I commence my Visual Arts residency in the State Library of NSW. Self doubt is one of the artist’s frequent companions, as is procrastination – also on display here ! I was meant to be finishing another work, sigh.

As usual the image is built up gently by layers of synthetic polymers, exploits the properties of shadows and uses an iconic site in the built environment to tell a story.

This little one might get submitted to the Portia Geach Art Prize 2025 in the S.H. Ervin Gallery.
